Benefits-Class Descriptions

Here at Pilates By Isabella we admit that we are Pilates obsessed, but Yoga was our first Love. Our Yoga group classes are limited to no more then 9 people for a more intimate and so that more time is focused on you. Pilates by Isabella offer a verity Yoga styles such; Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative and others. We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and try them all, this is a great way to allow yourself to explore, grow physically and mentally.  Perhaps try one to fit your mood. like our Yin or Vinyasa class in the morning to energize you or a slower paced candle light  in the evening. 


We also offer a specially curated selections of Mat classes to balance your practise. Our Signature Mat Pilates classes bring a contemporary, athletic approach to the Pilates Method, with each class offering its own distinct style and energy. From Mat Fusion and Pilates-Barre F.I.T. to advanced Pilates 360, every experience is purposeful, full-body, and grounded in the principles of Pilates.

Classical Mat Pilates is an all levels practice, a true classical mat repertoire, honoring the traditional sequence and principles of the Pilates Method.


For best results we recommended 3-4 classes alone or in combination with our Reformer Pilates Classes

Yoga Class Descriptions

Yin Yoga (Deep Stretch)

  Level: All levels welcome
Recommended Prerequisite: None
Temperature: Room Temperature (70-80 Degrees)


Yin Yoga is a meditative slower paced targeting deep connective tissues such as fascia, ligaments, joints and bones, as well as, your nervous system. Holding poses for 3-5 minutes each, yin gives you the ability to stretch and lengthen your rarely-used tissues while teaching you how to breathe and relax more deeply.


Some classes may offer Candle Light, Meditation, Sound Bath and essential oils. 

Restorative

  Level: All levels welcome
Recommended Prerequisite: None
Temperature: Room Temperature (70-80 Degrees)


 Restorative Yoga  is a cooling practice that target the connective tissue and ligaments in the body holding poses for longer periods of time.  Props are used to ease into the body as support for full relaxation.  In addition to the restorative poses, meditation and/or breath work are added for additional rest for body & mind.  You will leaved refreshed, relaxed and renewed. 


Some classes may offer Candle Light, Meditation, Sound Bath and essential oils. 

Gentle Yoga (Chair/Seated Yoga)

 Level: All levels welcome
Recommended Prerequisite: None
Temperature: Room Temperature (68-75 Degrees) 


Gentle Yoga and/or Yin is accessible to those who are looking for a soft, slow-paced, well supported, relaxing practice. In this lighthearted and slow-paced yoga practice, each step forward on your mat is an opportunity to go within. Class is great for all levels including beginners or anyone looking for the therapeutic benefits of yoga. This class is great for Postnatal, Prenatal, or anyone needing a more gentle class. 


Some classes may offer Candlelight, Breathwork, Meditation, Sound Bath and essential oils. 

Hatha 1 - 2 (Breath & Balance)

 Level: All levels welcome
Recommended Prerequisite: None
Temperature: Room Temperature (68-75 Degrees)

Hatha 1-2: This class is Hatha based with guidance to build your Vinyasa practice.. Hatha means  “willful” or “forceful,” as the active path of yoga—or as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), as the yoga of balance.  Hatha 1-2 is designed for anyone new to yoga or looking to get back to the basics. Hatha Yoga may be slower paced then Vinyasa. Class introduces poses that will slowly work through alignment and help familiarize the student with terminology. You will explore ways to build strength and flexibility for the body and breathing exercises to understand why the breath is so important in your yoga practice. The integration of breath while holding poses with intention for long periods of time may be challenging, stimulating and relaxing at the same time. 


This class is great for Postnatal, Prenatal, or anyone needing a more gentle class. Some classes may offer Candlelight, Breathwork, Meditation, Sound Bath and essential oils. 

Slow Flow (Vinyasa 1)

Level: All Levels. 

 Recommended Prerequisite is Gentle Flow, H1 but not mandatory.
Temperature: Room Temperature (68-75 Degrees)

HOT Would be 90+ Degrees 


Vinyasa 1 is an ALL LEVELS fusion that unites the hatha (slow paced, holding postures) and vinyasa (breath to movement) styles of yoga. This class systematically works the entire body from head to toe, focusing on healing and improving the function of every organ, muscle, and joint. 


Some Classes offer Candlelight, Meditation, Savasana and Sound Bath. 


Vinyasa Yoga Flow -All Levels(Active Flow)

Level: Beginner to Advance   

Recommended  Prerequisite: NONE
Temperature: Room Temperature (68-75 Degrees)

Please note: some classes are heated and class title will reflect if they are.

WARM Vinyasa: Room Temperature (warm-80-85)
HOT VINYASA: Heated 90+ Degrees. Humidity 45-50%. 

HOT YOGA IS NOT recommended for pre-natal students.


 Vinyasa Yoga Flow-All Levels is a fluid Vinyasa Yoga class. A playful class, exploring your edge, in a range of poses that are offered to either modified or embellished. This class is appropriate for all practitioner that have had some yoga practice (7-10 classes) and know how to modify or embellish.  .

Pilates Barre F.I.T

 Moderate–Athletic | All Levels


Our signature favorite, Pilates-Barre F.I.T. is an energetic, full-body fusion of Mat Pilates, Barre, strength training, and athletic interval conditioning. Designed to build internal heat, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness, classes may incorporate light weights, resistance bands, Pilates balls, bodyweight exercises, and small props while staying true to the principles of the Pilates Method. Expect upbeat music, purposeful movement, and that feel-good endorphin boost.


Suitable for: All levels, including active agers and pre/postnatal clients. Modifications are offered so you can challenge yourself while moving safely within your abilities.

Classical Mat Pilates

Traditional Mat Pilates | All Levels


A full-body practice centered on the traditional Mat repertoire of Joseph Pilates. Precise, controlled, and timeless, Classical Mat develops body awareness, coordination, and movement quality while honoring the principles and discipline of the Pilates Method.


Suitable for: All levels, including active agers and pre/postnatal clients. Modifications are offered as appropriate.

Pilates 360

Full-Body Athletic Pilates | Advanced


A dynamic, full-body Pilates experience designed to challenge balance, muscular endurance, coordination, and control from every direction. Pilates 360 may incorporate the Balanced Body® Orbit™ and small props, creating a demanding athletic experience while staying true to the principles of the Pilates Method.


Suitable for: Experienced Pilates practitioners comfortable with advanced, weight-bearing movement and balance challenges.

Not recommended for: Pregnancy, shoulder injuries, weight-bearing wrist limitations, or significant balance or mobility limitations. Limited modifications are offered.

  

Mat Fusion

Pilates + Strength | All Levels


A full-body Pilates class designed to build internal heat through purposeful, continuous movement. Mat Fusion may incorporate free weights and small props, with each instructor bringing their own style for a fresh, challenging experience while staying true to the principles of the Pilates Method.


Suitable for: All levels, including active agers and pre/postnatal clients. Modifications are offered as appropriate.
