Yoga Guidelines

  • All reservations and cancellations are done on line. Out of respect for our instructors and fellow clients, we enforce a 6-hour cancellation policy for group classes and 24-hour cancellation policy for Private Sessions. If you know you can’t make a Pilates class or session, please cancel your class at least 6 hours in advance to avoid being charged (and so another student has the chance to take your place!)

  • .Bring your own Yoga Mat, 2 towels (for hot classes), your water bottle. Wear comfortable clothing that can move with your body. Level valuables at home.

  • Do not do asanas with a Fever. Practice consideration towards fellow practitioners by not coming to class with a bad cold or any other contagious ailment. Let your body rest so it can recovered.

  • Personal hygiene is an integral part of practicing yoga. Shower before taking practice. Do not wear scents. Keep your gear clean, including your mat, rug, towels and clothing. Please extend this to how you behave in the room and wipe up any sweat around you on the floor after practice.

  • Wearing lotions or oils blocks the pores and impedes the detoxification process. It also makes you slippery and difficult to adjust safely!

  • It may be tempting to ‘wipe down’ as soon as you begin to sweat, but learn to tolerate it and move through your postures with as little interruptions as possible, not taking any extra breaths then the practice requires.

  • Please refrain from unnecessary talking. Enjoy the silence of the practice and the sound of your breath.

  • Avoid eating at least 2 hours prior to and 30 minutes after your practice. Drink plenty of water before and after your practice, but do not take water bottles into the practice space or drink immediately before class.

  • Respect your limits and be loving towards yourself. Acknowledge that your body and mind will feel different every day; listen to what your body tells you and practice in your own time following your own breath (which should be smooth and even).

  • Always let your instructor know if you have any conditions or injuries' before every class.

  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts so you can set up your area.  We have a five minute late period tolerance, please be on time to avoid disrupting class. The warm-up is an important part of your practice.

What to Expect

What is the benefit of a Boutique studio?

A Boutique studio is more intimate, without a large number of clients so more time is focused on you. A boutique studio allows the instructor and you to solely focus on your body's needs, abilities, pace and goals. Which gives you the opportunity to see results faster and many people find this setting more inviting.

Can I bring my kid/s ?

We do not offer child care or have an area where children can sit and play. Please do not bring your children no matter how well behaved they are or if someone is coming to pick them up. It is disruptive to others. Unless is a class designated for them.

FQA

Can I Practice during my cycle?

  •  Philosophically, in yoga, menstruation is considered to be apana, meaning your body’s energy is downward-flowing. Those against inversions say that the poses will disturb the natural energetic flow, so it’s better to avoid putting your uterus in the air or upside down.

  • Some schools of Yoga believe that Female students should not practice during the first three days of their menstrual cycle. Other believe that you avoid Inversions as it can potentially increased risk of endometriosis.  Other schools believe female students benefit it from practicing to alleviate menstrual symptoms and to boost mood.
